This part of our site provides resources for people who want to organise events – such as days of mindfulness and retreats.

Joyful and Safe

All events should have the aspiration of being “joyful and safe” for everyone involved. This means mindful planning and paying attention to risks as a kindness to everyone taking part.   We hope to add some guidance on “Joyful and Safe” to the website soon.

Just a reminder that if you are organising events where children and young people will be present you should familiarise yourself with child protection issues..The Video  page “Are they Safe?”  on the Safer Network website  is a good introduction to child protection issues.

Guidelines for retreat co-ordinators (excluding Joyful and Safe guidance)

We have developed general guidelines for retreat co-ordinators which we hope you will find helpful.  You can read or download these guidelines here.
