cropped-wake-up-uk-banner-2014-2 Wake Up UK is a network of young people in the UK, aged  18 to 35, who practise mindfulness inspired by the teachings of Zen master, poet and peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh. We are part of Wake Up, an active global community and movement that was founded by Thich Nhat Hanh in the Plum Village Meditation Centre, south-west France in 2008.

What we do

We come together to practise mindfulness in order to take care of ourselves, nourish happiness and contribute to building a healthier and a more compassionate society. We encourage young people to join or start a local community that can practise regularly together. Practising together as a community of friends, we can create a strong collective energy of mindfulness that can nourish our joy, heal our pains and develop our understanding and love.
